Parents

As students and families enter in to the exciting yet challenging time of the college years, families must navigate a variety of transitions on multiple levels including academic, vocational, personal and social. It is normative for students to experience anxiety as they make adjustments to college life and the many changes they are experiencing. The staff at Counseling & Psychological Services are available to help students have a successful and growth promoting experience at Florida State University. We have compiled a list of frequently asked questions from parents and added a link to helpful resources. Family members are also welcome to call Counseling & Psychological Services at (850) 644-TALK (8255) during the center’s open hours (Monday-Friday 8am-4pm).
