Jeannie Corredor, Ph.D.

Jeannie received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the State University of New York at Albany in 2003. She is of Puerto Rican descent and is bilingual (speaks English and Spanish). Jeannie is an active member of the American Psychological Association and relocated from New York City to Tallahassee to work with the college population in October 2007. Since her graduate school years, she has been passionate about diversity issues and has coordinated a number of programs aimed at increasing people's awareness of different cultures and celebrating diversity. Jeannie's approach to therapy and supervision is eclectic, primarily integrating cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic and systems appoaches. In addition to multcultural issues, other professional interests include identity development, gender roles, issues related to first year college students to attend college, and developmental issues. |
